TEDxCopenhagen is back!
Last week, Copenhagen’s TEDx-ers kicked off this year’s event with the first community meeting, and there are great things cooking in the TEDxCopenhagen kitchen…
We have been a little quiet for the past few months, but don’t let the silence mislead you. TEDxCopenhagen is back! At the beginning of June we will come together in central Copenhagen to highlight and celebrate some of the region’s greatest and lesser-known speakers, designers, researchers and innovators for your entertainment.
TEDx events embody the spirit of ideas worth spreading through local, independently organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. This year’s TEDxCopenhagen salon event aims for no less!

Just in case you’re wondering, let’s quickly cover the basics: The difference between TED and TEDx events are that the former takes a global approach to speakers and topics, while the latter typically focuses on a local community and concentrates on local voices.
Also important to note is that this year’s TEDxCopenhagen event will be a Salon event. This means that you will find a slightly smaller crowd, a half day event (instead of a full day) and a specific, defined theme. While the topic of their presentation could cover anything from technology, education, and/or design, salon events tend to pick one of these areas, and present under-the-radar speakers, who share ideas worth spreading in their 15 minute long TEDx talk.

Get ready for a day of inspiring talks, mind expanding experiences, a crowd of intellectually curious folks, and stay up to date on the newest trends in technology, education and design - the three pillars of TED. Imagine your day being filled with brilliant speakers, thought-provoking video and mind-blowing conversation.
You’ll hear from us soon with more news on the theme, location and speakers! But we can already say: It’s gonna be great! The greatest TEDxCopenhagen talks you have ever seen. We love it. You’ll love it, too.
We know it’s TED first, but can we just say… TEDxCopenhagen second?
